Sporting Activities at Royton Hall

There are a number of after school sports clubs that take place at Royton Hall.

 

This term we are offering the following after school clubs:

 

Monday -   Street Cheer (KS2) - OAFC Community Trust

                 

Tuesday -  Multiskills (KS2) - Oldham Sports Development

                

Thursday - Football (KS2) - Mr Belfield

                  Cross Country (KS1/2) - Mr Belfield

                  Choir (KS2) - Miss Finn

 

Friday -     Futsal (KS1) - OAFC Community Trust

 

We also have Faisel Khan, from Oldham Sports Development, who teaches PE across the school on a Tuesday.

Oldham Athletic Community Trust run football sessions every lunchtime with various year groups and also support in school on a Friday afternoon.

Sports Competitions

 

At Royton Hall Primary School, we strive to ensure that our children have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports.

 

The competition list for the Summer Term is as follows:

 

28/4 - Cross Country Race at Chadderton Hall Park
9/5 - Year 5/6 Quadkids athletics (standing long jump, vortex throw, sprint and a 600m run) 
23/5 - Y5/6 Mixed Cricket 
24/5 - Come and Try (Tri-Golf)
11/6 - Y4/5 Mixed Cricket
13/6 - Y3/4 Mini Red Tennis 
14/6 - Y5/6 Rounders 
15/6 - Y5/6 Girls Cricket
27/6 - SEND athletics

 

 

Dance


Failsworth performing arts did a taster session for the whole school. Children worked together to come up with a dance to music. The children really enjoyed the day and gave brilliant feedback about Failsworth performing arts group. http://www.failsworthperformingarts.co.uk.

 

 

Handball

 

On Tuesday 30th January 2018, children from Year 5/6 visited Oldham Academy North to take part in a handball tournament. The children really enjoyed the experienced and learnt many new skills in a sport that many had never played before.

 

Dodgeball


On Tuesday 6th February 2018, children from our Year 3/4 classes visited Oldham Academy North to take part in a dodgeball tournament. Royton Hall Primary School were very successful, winning many of our games!
