Pupil Premium funding is allocated to schools based on the number of pupils who have had access to Free School Meals during the time they are in our school. The school then uses this additional fund to support the learning and wellbeing of its pupils.
The main barriers to educational achievement vary and may include:-
The intended expenditure for our Pupil Premium Funding is available below. This is measured at the end of the academic year. The data for the achievement of Pupil Premium children for phonics, reading, writing and maths is measured against the data of non Pupil Premium children. The intention is to ensure that the progress of both groups is consistently good and the gap is narrow between the groups.
Some areas of progress and targets cannot be measured in terms of numbers and percentages such as the improvement in a child's confidence or self-esteem. However, this can be measured internally via teacher observations, parents observations and the pupils own voice.
