At Royton Hall we are committed to ensuring that the emotional and social needs of all our children are met within our school environment, and we support the development of children’s health and wellbeing, self-esteem and confidence.
Our aim is to ensure key elements of PSHE are included within the teaching of the curriculum, and that children are being provided with a relevant and healthy diet of Personal, Social and Health and Economic education from the whole school scheme of work ‘PSHE Association’.
PSHE education equips pupils with knowledge, understanding, skills and strategies required to live healthy, safe and productive, capable, responsible and balanced lives. It encourages them to be enterprising and supports them in making effective transitions, positive learning and career choices and in achieving economic wellbeing. A critical component of PSHE education is providing opportunities for children and young people to reflect and clarify their own values and attitudes and explore the complex and sometimes conflicting range of values and attitudes they encounter now and in the future.
