Britain's Settlement by the Anglo Saxons and the Scots
This half term we have been building on our learning of Anglo Saxons from Year 4. We thought about what we knew already and began to develop an idea of where the settlement of Britain by the Anglo Saxons fits in with what we know about British History. We created timelines to show an overview of this period and understand some key moments and significant individuals, some of which we researched further such as King Offa.
During this topic, we analysed and used primary and secondary sources to build a picture of what life was like in Anglo Saxon England and consider change and continuity from Roman Britain.
In the summer term, we are going to discover the impact of Vikings raids, battles and invasions on Saxon England.
