Meet the Staff

Our Lower Key Stage 2 Department this year will consist of the following classes.

Class 3B, (taught by Miss Barry)
Class 3/4M, (taught by Mrs Moore)
Class 4L, (taught by Miss Linger) *Covered by Mr Stevens

The children in Years 3 and 4 are supported by our teaching assistants Mrs N.Hall and Mrs R.Hall.

Homework

Homework is an essential part of your child’s learning journey and this year we are focusing on these key skills.  Just a little time spent practising every day can really make a huge difference.

• Reading books to be read daily. Please ensure that your child’s Reading Folder (containing their 2* reading books and reading record) is brought in to school every day.  
• Weekly Spelling Sheet. Your child will receive a weekly spelling sheet containing activities linked to the spelling work for that week.
• Times Tables.  It is important for children to be able to recall all times tables facts to 12x12 by the end of Year 4 so we will be working really hard on those this year.  Times Tables Rockstars is an incredibly useful and engaging tool to help your child develop quicker recall of these facts so please encourage use at home!         We suggest that your child aims to spend at least 5 minutes per day practising their times tables.
