14.3.22 How Healthy is our Soil at Royton Hall?

Today we learnt that worms play a very important part in helping trees and flowers to grow. As they chew away, they burrow long tunnels beneath the ground allowing water and air to filter through and reach the roots of plants and trees! We learnt that if there is a large population of worms within your soil, it is a sign that the soil is very healthy. So we decided to investigate...

We found that we do have healthy soil at Royton Hall, as we found lots of healthy, wriggly worms!
