National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP)
Stakeholders’ event 19th November at Chadderton Town Hall from 10-3.30pm.
In response to increasing recognition of the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles, and preventing excess weight (overweight and obesity) the council will be holding a stakeholders’ event on 19th November at Chadderton Town Hall from 10-3.30pm.
This event will allow stakeholders from different organisations including the public sector and community voluntary and faith sector to come together to share information of the different activities and initiatives (around healthy eating, physical activity and healthy environments) which are currently being used to promote healthy weight in children in Oldham, as well as generate understanding of the gaps and suggestions of how these can be addressed. In advance of the national obesity health plan which is to be published towards the end of the year the event will inform our local strategies and plans.
More information about the event and how to book onto it will be sent out soon. In the meantime for any enquiries relating to the event, or to discuss ideas and issues relating to reducing childhood obesity, please contact me, Julie Holt by email: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone: 0161 770 8489.
